Designed for the 2001 Crystal World Cruise, this quilt became a collaborative record of the four-month journey. I created kits for passengers to hand-piece, with muslin centers they embellished with embroidery and paint to commemorate their experiences along the way. I joined the ship for its final month, bringing my sewing machine aboard to assemble the individual pieces into the finished quilt while traveling from Cape Town to Southampton, England.
